SUCCESSION

Successions are governed by the provisions of Book III of the Family Code. The bases of the hereditary vocation are kinship and the status of spouse (consult Law No. 84 – June 11, 1984 on the Family Code, amended and supplemented).

In this context, the social service carries out the procedures relating to the processing of the inheritance as well as the preservation of the social rights of the heirs (death benefit, survivor's pension, widow's pension).

The "Fredha" or the deed of succession is issued by a notary in Algeria. It designates the heirs of a deceased and the shares vested in each heir. This document is essential for the processing of an inheritance.

  • A delegation of powers (available at the level of the Social Service) duly completed and signed by the agent and stamped by the Town Hall of the place of residence.
