Census/Regularization
National service is an obligation for any Algerian aged nineteen (19) and over.
The Algerian-French agreement of October 11, 1983 leaves binational citizens the choice of performing military service in Algeria or in France (Articles 2 and 3).
National service management involves:

- The management of requests for suspension and exemption.
- The handling of duplicate requests for a deferment card, an exemption, or a military booklet.
The census operation takes place from January 2 to September 30 of each year. It concerns Algerian citizens aged 17 and over, residing in the consular district of Nice
